BSNL Modem for internet connection

I had been using BSNL broadband connection for most part of my life but because of the inconvenience of shifting it around or carrying it around while travelling, I was thinking of buying the BSNL 3G modem. I was skeptic and didn’t known whether to go for the normal modem marketed by Micromax or use specific BSNL modem as because some of my friends using it suggested against using BSNL modem because of the inconvenience and delay in service.

So after a long debate I eventually went for availing a BSNL modem and started using it. The best think about the modem is that you can use any sim and don’t have to stick just to BSNL or a particular Internet service provider. Since getting a new phone SIM connection is cheap and easy I tried almost all the service providers before finally settling down with reliance GSM service. Actually the speed of most service providers where pathetic but I found out a way to use reliance 3g plan paying just for the 2g charges. So, in a way BSNL modem helped me in cutting down my internet expenses as I could avail high speed 3g plan paying just for the 2g services.

Another good think about the BSNL 3g modem is it is easy and convenient to install, you don’t have to be a computer geek to install the modem or use it. The installation console starts up immediately as soon as you connect the modem to the USB hub and the rest of the installation process is as easy as a walk in the park.

It’s been over a year since I have been using BSNL modem and till date I haven’t face any sort of problem.  Though I never liked the service provided by BSNL but this is one area where I have had no problems whatsoever.
