Convenience stores are performing well despite the big chains of supermarket feeling the squeeze of the recession. We continue to drive less with the price of gar going up. There is no need to drive to the supermarket, if you just need bread and milk as it is waste of time as well as gas. Even if you are paying a little extra in the convenience store, it is worth the time and gas and this is the main reason for the practical corner stores to survive.

In case you are taking a walk and want to have soda or juice you will obviously go to the convenience store.  Kids are very fond of the small stores and they are designed to attract them. There are all kinds of goodies placed on the you-can’t-miss rack, with the normal bars, donuts, cookies etc. All the people are aware that it is possible to get juice or juices in these shops and their refrigerator are stacked at behind the store, and the consumer who wants it has to walk right at the back of the store to get them. You have temptation all the way in front as you walk along the shop and you are sure to walk out with more than the drink.

Gas station is also one kind of convenience store which is recession proof as they get a number of travelers. Most people who are traveling on the road are tired driving long distances and generally don’t have much to eat in the car as snacks. This is a very good place to stop as you can get your tank filled as well as get some stuff to eat at the same time.

One of the customer who does not do much of impulsive buying the Mom, she just who takes what she comes for like the quart of milk or a bread loaf. Everything adds to the profit of the owner of the convenience store.
