Dentists are No Longer Allowed to Break Wind in England

Matthew Walton, a 35 year old dentist from Shrewsbury is no longer a dentist after having been struck off at a hearing of the British Dental Association. And for why? Well, among other things, there was the small matter of breaking wind in his surgery in the presence of staff and patients. People seem not to have appreciated that for some reason.
Mr Walton seems to have had a bit of a problem with socially unacceptable and inappropriate behaviour which, along with farting, included belching, making rude gestures and passing personal comments about his clients to their faces.
So he had to go.
But hold on a moment. Is breaking wind in the surgery a serious enough matter to merit being struck off? As a nervous patient myself I would be more concerned about higher matters, and I might be thankful for something to camouflage the dental smells that add to my nervousness. And anyway, those noises that emanate from patients can’t all be from them squirming about on his leather chair.
As for my own dentist – she’s just great. She’s highly skilled, sympathetic and above all she has tiny little fingers that fir neatly inside my mouth rather than the huge fist my last dentist had. She can break as much wind as she needs to so long as she does a good job on my teeth.

I avoid dentists like the plague. You’ve now given me a reason to reconsider. I’m a sucker for socially unacceptable and inappropriate behavior.

Have you ever tasted fart? It’s freaking disgusting. While lying in a dentist chair, mouth open, a flatulent dentist could well lead to one tasting fart. Unacceptable

He should have blamed his assistant.
