Fun and Games at The Gas Pump
Do you want to have some good cheap fun,at the oil companies expense?
In every situation in life, humor can be found,As unreal as it may seem constantly rising gas prices can even be a real hoot. How can that be,you say?Yes,comedy is alive ,even at the onset of rising gas prices because of the chain of events around gas prices.First of all, some one has to change these prices. This is a good comedy.the person changing the prices on the signs is generally a larger person. Why?One,gas prices are changing so frequently, the attendant is being inducted into a Biggest Loser type exercise program, just changing the numbers on the signs. In the beginning,it was being changed, very subtly, once a month, then once a week, now at least once a day. What is next, now that they know there are no boundaries for their cut throat practice, every thirty minutes. This will definitely downsize the over sized attendant, such as myself, due to increased lifting, reaching, and shuffling back and forth to change the numbers.
The next routine is of the poor man standing at the cashiers check stand digging through his change on Thursday afternoon to get one gallon of fuel to make it to work on Friday,to pick up his paycheck. That,s right ,stand behind the fellow making 7.25 per hour on a Thursday afternoon, and see the antics of the annoyed cashier and rushing frantic customers,as he slowly counts out 4 dollars in change,he dug out of his car .Slow, because he has to separate the candy wrappers, and sticky coins to pay the clerk.Tomorrow afternoon ,he will receive that big check for about 2 hundred dollars,of which,he will spend 40 dollars of for what?Fuel to go back and forth to work for another week. Now,if all you are trying to do is buy a cold beer on the way home,do not put yourself in this line. You will become agitated-so badly you will have to buy two more beers, and just like you, your beers will get hot while you are waiting.
But do you know where the biggest laugh is going to come from? When Technology finally steps out of darkness with a bight light of hope for all overcharged fossil fuel users. This will be the true day of reckoning for the oil companies. It could be an invention,a concept,or an alternative method for how we do things, but with courage, this time will come, and the funniest scenario of all will finally occur. We will no longer rely as heavily on fossil fuels,or,if we do,it won’t be to the level it is now, being forced to pay the ridiculous costs we must pay.On this day,my friend,we will see the bright light in the tunnel of hope, and fossil fuels can be left dead and buried.
FYI_ I find no actual comedy to any situation we are being unduly scammed, and this is being done to us on a daily basis.let’s figure out how to take back our rights, one right at a time.

Gas prices or car insurance, I can’t decide which is the biggest rip off.
