How Can the Economy be Helped?
This discusses some points on improving the United States’ economy.
Some of you may be experiencing bad times because of the current economical situation. With foreclosures occurring left and right, let’s face it; America is experiencing bad times.
A lot of people don’t know how to spend their money wisely. Instead of focusing on bailing out companies, the government could fund programs to help citizens better understand how to spend and save their money. These programs could be free-of-charge and held at public libraries. I feel very strongly if American citizens knew how to better manage their money, the economy would see a large boost.
American citizens are broke. Many people cannot make ends meet each month, week, or day. Instead of bailing out large companies that are suffering and should be suffering from the consequences of their own greed; the government should focus bailouts and stimuli on the American people. The people decide whether to spend their money or not. If the government increased stimulus packages to the American people, they could spend more money, for instance, on a new car. When a citizen buys the new car, the dealer gets money to pay their employees and to buy new cars for the lot. When a new car is bought for the lot, the car makers get money and their employees do. When the dealer employees and the car maker employees get their pay check, they could go buy something at the grocery store. When something is bought at the store, the store employees as well as the people who made the product get money and so on.
As you should have realized now, it all comes down to the American people. We, the people, spend the money. If government officials would realize this, the economy would already be improving in great amounts.
