How the Economic Crisis is Affecting Everyone

The economic crisis that we are in now is the worst ever – since The Great Depression.  Getting laid off or fired is not right. Thanks to President Obama we will be out of this thing (hopefully).  As the title suggests the economic crisis is affecting not only the people who get laid off but the consumers.  Here is an example:

Tim gets laid off.  He is so worried about how to pay the bills and put food on the table.  The LEAST he is worried about is buying a new television.  Circuit City relies on people coming out and buying TVs or else those employees will get laid off.  Then Jen gets laid off and is not worried about buying a new car.  Honda relies on people to buy their cars or else those employees will get laid off.  If Circuit City or Honda don’t get any consumers they will file for bankruptcy.  If these companies get closed down for good, the consumer who is willing to buy a new TV or a new car can’t use them to buy these products.  If the consumer only likes their company they’ll say ” I only like Hondas ” so the other car companies dont get business and so on and so on.

As this example shows this economic crisis WILL affect everyone.  One safe job that you can get is a Government job.  These employees wont be laid off but won’t buy everything they want at first but gradually it will get better.  Thanks for reading and I hope that this created some more insight on what is really going on.
