Quality improves –

Bangladeshi apparel goods are cheap and of good and acceptable quality but we can’t say its best. Sometime it happens due to employment of unskilled workers. For the shortage of professional/skilled worker & higher migration rate sometime employer recruit unskilled worker that might cause lower quality outputs. Even Srilanka not recruit a person without training EBT so to improve the quality there should be no question beyond the quality of products.

Overcome Custom-Port related weakness –

The geographical location of Chittagong port makes it a prime candidate for development in the same style like Singapore. To overcome port related weaknesses and bottlenecks and to reduce the overall time of handling goods, Government took a number of initiatives to improve management, operational system, and worker related issues of the Chittagong port. Government already automated the Chittagong Customs House in collaboration with the private sector.

Core Labour Standards

The developed countries have shown a tendency to use core labour standards as an effective tool to protect their domestic markets from relatively unhindered flow of imports from developing countries. Bangladesh has already suffered a major jolt with the issue of child labour.
