Is China a Threat to The Us Economy?
Many Americans believe China is America’s biggest economic threat. Is China a real threat or just a smoke screen to avoid the real issues that plague the US economy?
America’s apathy and its failure to support American businesses is our biggest threat, not socialist China. Our childish anti-capitalist attitude of “Tax the rich“, “the rich are evil“, and “capitalism is bad” is harming small business owners who create, innovate and provide jobs in our country. They hire people and help grow our economy. And you know what? They’re capitalists, not socialist!
As congressional committees seek budget solutions, Erskine Bowles and others believe the best course is to continue our current attack on small business owners by raising personal income taxes and eliminating tax deductions. If they took the time to read their own government statistics, they would realize that most emerging small business owners are sole proprietorships, partnerships and LLCs.
Most of these American small business heroes file their taxable gross business profits as personal income. So consider this truth. A growing small business grossing over 500k is not that big especially if the business is supporting employees, paying payroll taxes and reinvesting to grow the business! What do you think a personal tax increase will do to that economic growth?
In the next few weeks, you will hear the current democratically run congress talk about raising taxes to balance the budget. I have a better idea. Why don’t we cut all foreign aid from the budget first? Then we can cut government salaries, pensions and workforce by 30%. Maybe government employees should feel our pain and economic concerns to realize what’s at stake. We have Americans starving. Why are we bankrupting ourselves for the rest of the world?
The real economic threat to our country is the fact that 25% of our Gross Domestic Product is government spending. As a nation, we borrow from China and then provide them with government grants to growth their economy. I am I the only one that finds this fact strange. You can see it for yourself at Grants.gov. Just do a search, see for yourself and then tell your friends. We can democratically change the government through information, participation and knowledge. Don’t fall for that socialist line that your voice doesn’t count because it does. You pay taxes, you vote and if you pay attention, our government gets nervous.
We need to get back to doing business in America without feeling ashamed, over regulated or over taxed. Government politicians must smarten up and realized that no matter how much we bend over for the rest of the world they will still hate us. Stop, helping the rest of world, they don’t appreciate it and start helping Americans by cutting all foreign aid!
You can help too by buying American made products whenever you can. Take a second and read the label. If, the label doesn’t say where it’s manufactured then email the manufacturer to ask why. What are they hiding? That extra dime you pay for an American made product may save the future of your children later! Think of your child’s future buy American made, first!
Communist Chinese industry does not innovate. It manufactures. When was the last time you heard of a Chinese product innovation? I don’t think China is a threat. I believe our childish attitudes about socialism and what it does to our country is more dangerous to the welfare and future of our children. It’s time to go back to American capitalism. The world already thinks we’re fat and stupid. What kind of life do you think your children will have in that new world order?

Hard hitting and fantastic article. I’d change 7% and then offer this to the WSJ for the Op Ed page.
You hit the nail on the head.
Your headline caught my eye because I am writing about Chinese censorship, intellectual rights abuses, internet hacking and pirating.
This has some great information but the white hot heat you bring is inspiring. The common sense thrown in for good measure helped.
Got my engine going (and it’s a US made vcar I’m driving here).
