Our Economy Today
Our Economy Sucks! Things are tough all around for everyone right now. The prices of groceries don’t seem to be going down at all much.

A friend had came by to have lunch today, we got to talking about how the economy is, and then I decided to write this afterwards.
You end up thinking shall I drive to two or three different stores to get things on sale, or bite the bullet and just pay a bit more cause you will be using more gas to drive there.
How is it that we can walk into a store for just a small bag full of groceries and come out paying almost $50.00 and then thinking you have to make that last for at least close to a week if on tight budget. Price of gas is not outrageous, but still over $2.00 a gallon, and that means putting gas in the tank to just get to the store.
I was told about how a lawyer student, went in and applied for a simple cashier job, until he gets all his paperwork to practice law, but he needs any job to help feed himself and his family at the moment. And how many single moms do you think are out there working possibly two or even three jobs to just pay the rent and feed their children.
Companies and businesses are laying off right and left, and you hardly ever see a sign saying “Now Hiring” anymore, so everyone is scrounging to get whatever jobs they can at the moment. Kinda sad to hear that someone took schooling to be something better, a lawyer, a nurse, and then end up taking a job flopping hamburgers at the moment. But that is our Economy today.
The unemployment situation is incredible. Employers care not what happens to the ones they let go, they just care about the bottom line for end of year sales. You can be working at a company for many years, and they seem to find a way to get rid of you, cause when you think of it, you make more money then one other one whom they can bring in at a lot cheaper rate. And then you can’t find a job that would in any way to match what you were making before, and the unemployment rate is a lot less then what you were bring home, so you end up losing in all directions in the long run.

This is indeed a true story! All we can do is pray and continue to do the best we can.
