Recession Reality

Most people I meet these days have been affected by the recession in some way or the other. My neighbor’s husband lost his job of 12 years, my best friend had to call off her marriage originally scheduled in India, (she could spend on the air fares for the 30 member family) and got married in a cheap, off-white dress and sea-shell earrings on a beach she literally grew up; and now I see people buying milk only twice a week. Its a little difficult, I would assume if one lost a job and has a family to feed. Unemployment benefits are good, but are they good enough to pay off the rent, bills, buy grocery, medicines and toiletry?

My mind spins when I try to introspect too much about the cuts and sacrifices that people have had to make due to the economic slump. But one thing it has taught is to feel the pain, understand the difficulties and accept that the climate is going to be rough, so its better to get a little tough and be all ready and braced up!
