Unemployment Undertow
Hiring standards by many companies are impacting our society in an adverse way, especially during this economic crisis when many are losing their homes and jobs in the United States.
Have any of you tried to get a job lately?
Most employers have added a new procedure to their hiring practices, they now check candidates credit histories. Your ability to get a job may no longer be determined by your work experience, education, achievements, and your personality; your being hired comes down to what is the equivalent of your FICO score. To add to the impersonal operation of employment procedures, most companies require candidates to fill out their applications and send resumes online; which means the person seeking a job must have access to a computer with internet access.
In the past a person looking for a job would go to a company’s employment office, fill out an application, perhaps submit a resume’ and if the person appeared to have potential then was interviewed. A candidate had the opportunity to promote his or her qualities before a human being; perhaps persuade a recruiter he or she were the right person for the job. Now in today’s job market, a company’s human resources recruiter shortens the selection process and makes a decision by either pressing “enter” or “delete”.
Who would have ever thought in an economic time when people are losing their homes, their cars are being repossessed, they are unable to pay their bills, and businesses are laying off people, your ability to acquire gainful employment could be decided by the very inability to control financial problems which would require someone to seek a job in the first place. Now it does not matter if a person’s resume’ displays you are an executive candidate if the credit reporting bureaus show you haven’t paid on bills on time. What are these companies thinking? Why do you need a job in the first place?
It seems society is heading in the wrong direction. While businesses press forward to progress with new ideas and advanced technologies and programming, they also have implemented a detrimental economic current, an unemployment undertow which pulls down those whom are trying to escape their financial devastation. Many skilled, educated, and ideal potential employees, who want and need to work find themselves sitting at unemployment lines waiting for kiosks to submit their applications and resumes over and over again; while others who probably don’t have a clue of what to do with a job, don’t need to be there, and don’t want to be there, will systematically take a more qualified candidate’s place simply because they had a FICO of over 600 or no credit at all.
You can’t help but scratch your head and wonder, where and what in the world is this all leading us?

According to the said article its seems many of us were seeking a job, an opportunity for the new graduate young professional who want to gain experience, applying for the certain big companies its just a big competition to all of us. They gain a lot of full potential with a certain highly qualified applicant. With the economy making a turn for the worst, I have found myself needing payday loans from time to time. The unemployment rate is at the highest it has been since the early 1980’s. Sadly, I too have become a victim of this economic turmoil. I recently got laid off in an industry that was failing all over the nation. It left me feeling clueless and desperate to find a new career opportunity that would match my expertise. At this point, however, I am willing to do anything necessary to make some money. Times are rough; it would be even harder without the help of payday loans. Anyway, I found an article at my payday loans source that talks about the best careers available out there. If I wanted to start my own business, it explains which business would be the best to start and the best states to start them in. You can read more yourself at the payday loans Personal Money Store Blog.
