Academic Researchers Who Refuse to Apply Their Knowledge
Also many specialized academic study esoteric, trying to discover the head of a pin, but with all this vast knowledge they acquire, they often ask questions that may lead to revolutionary applications of their work.

Not long ago, I discussed this matter with a Chinese scientist, Guang Wu, who studied the correlation between cycles and periods of warming and changes with changing strains of influenza virus type A and the plague pandemic flu returned to Mexico, and the world, and then spread.
After asking questions, I realized he spends so much time in the lab, he had not thought about the applications of the knowledge he has found me and said, “I am sure slow thinking [method], because for every new problem I need much time to think. ”
Given that this makes sense, and non-academic, I almost want to say: “No, not fair. You must know your industry, field, science better than anyone” but then I realize how often researchers found in seminars, unable to think of my questions. However, in my industry and area of expertise, I have never been short of potential responses in any of my areas of study.
In fact, my opinion is that researchers can answer these questions, and / or should be able to give a good estimate (with the exception that is speculation), or make a new hypothesis. Why? Well, it could give rise to new research and scientific innovation. In this particular case, I ask;
Why not take one or more of these questions and discuss their value, the value of your answers to humanity, mankind and the world. Know the answer may one day save the world. But if you try, that may be too late at this time of need. Pushed forward, and give full effort.
