Attitude Counts a Lot
Our attitude counts a lot anywhere we go. In a job, attitude is preferred over aptitude.
Attitude is very important specially when you are applying for a job. An applicant is always ask to have recommendation from previous employer and this will determine on what is his attitude in his previous work. How diligent he is and what is his relationship with his co-workers and his Boss. This is one of the important factors that most employers are looking from prospective applicants. This is why our attitude counts a lot wherever we are specially on the job.
I remembered one time of somebody who was very talented and versatile. He can do almost everything that the job called for. He worked as a teacher in the grade school. He was a good teacher, musician, a good leader, activity organizer, program coordinator and more. No body of his counterparts can do what he can. Everybody thought he was amazing at what he does and he really was but the great problem with him was his attitude. He was bossy and want his ideas to be followed all the time. He thought that his ideas are better than that of others. He is sarcastic and critical with the works of his co-workers which sometimes lead into a fight. He argued with some older teachers telling them that their ways are obsolete. Wow!! what an attitude. There were times that he will be called to the Principal’s office to settle some problems that other people complained about him and he always has the reason to defend himself that he is right. Many people admired his talents but they were turned off by his attitude.
This is how I realize that attitude counts much than talents and abilities. If you are super talented with a good attitude that would be great. But even if you are multi talented if your attitude is hard to deal with, your talents will not take you anywhere. Many will shun away from you. It is not healthy to work with people who have bad attitude. It is very stressful and emotionally draining. Our attitude is the only thing we can bring anywhere we go whether on the job or in our relationship with other people our attitude counts and this will determine our future.

That is true. I had this certain attitude when I left home to go in the business world. I found out pretty fast, my attitude was not going to benefit me in any way.

Having the right attitude is a person’s way to success. I guess interpersonal skills really is an advantage.

You’re right..these days, attitude is considered more important than intelligence or skill. What makes an employee tick is how he relates to others — his performance usually comes second. Nice work!
