Book Drives for Better Lives
Outreach program.
The University Student Council (USC) in coordination with some of the College Student Boards (CSB) conducted the first Book Drive in Western Mindanao State University barely last September 1-11. The registrations for book donation started on the month of August until the first week of September. The committee of book drive program incredibly generated public awareness through displaying posters in every college, set-up collection boxes and monitored them frequently. It was a campus program spearheaded by Hon. Daryl Jane Barrios and Mr. Jv Bue with a priority to ensure that students can attain the necessary skills needed in their respective fields by accessing books at affordable prices.
The book collection was a philanthropic act promoting literacy and education for all by categorizing it into different fields which are appropriate to all courses in this university. The number of consumed books only presented the needs and wants of the students and how they craved for the donated books at moderate price.
The books donated for resell to help others greatly generated a tangible social impact among the students of this university knowing that we have given new life to old books previously destined to nowhere.
Together, we are reducing poverty by increasing literacy for a better life.

Very nice. I think it’s wonderful whenever you can give back. And, whatever you give, comes back to you infinitely.
Blessings.
