Calvary School Achieving Excellence

Calvary School is an institute that prides itself on teaching the whole child the whole truth. The organization is based on encouraging students to accept the Lord as their personal savior and develop a world of Biblical view. They are encouraged to obtain the highest in academic excellence. The focus of the institute is to fulfill their responsibilities in church, community, and home. The company requires that all personnel obtain the proper certification.

All teachers of age groups kindergarten through twelfth grade are mandated to have received their Bachelors degree, and almost all have successfully obtained their masters degree. There are an estimated number of students of around 580, and the ages that house the facility are kindergarten through twelfth grade. It is required by the state of Georgia that each student be age appropriate to each grade level.

After graduating, many students are able to attend the college of their choice because the school prepares its students so well. The educational institute is a division of the mother church, Calvary Baptist Church and other ministries of this kind. They offer a wonderful sports program that prepares the children in the areas of basketball, baseball, and volleyball. Girl basketball, soccer, cheer leading cross country, fast pitch softball, volley ball, tennis, golf, and wrestling are also included in the sports program.

An excellent music program is provided for scholars who maintain an acceptable grade average. The gifted program is for students with special talents whose parents would like to address those gifts. The choir is outstanding and participating students are allowed to take part in competitions and activities. They also are allowed to perform in Georgia and other states.

A special program designed for children with special needs is available, called discovery school. Based on established criteria, the students can be referred to the program by teachers, or parents may make a request that their child be placed in such programs. Tutoring is available to all ages during and after school, and a counselor is to be contacted for registration.

Educational choices that parents make for their children are extremely critical. To find out more information or to enroll a person must contact the admissions director. An open house is available every Thursday for children and parents to check out. This is where the parent and child can tour the campus, review the curriculum and meet the faculty. If parents are unable to attend the scheduled event, they are welcome to contact the admissions department and schedule it for a day that best accommodates the schedule.
