EBD Teachers

It’s hard enough working in a class with students who are just class clowns, but these teachers give their heart and soul to helping children with emotional behavioral disabilities.

As a child I know some days my teacher wanted to just go and scream. The occupation as a teacher can be very stressful yet extremely rewarding. My mom was a school teacher and she treated her students better than she did us. It was amazing the way the would run to her and call her name. I would just smile because you never know what a child goes through when at home.

The education field in U.S. is a second only to health care in terms of employment. Although in this field you are not likely to get rich quick you will be able to fulfill your dreams and others.

Was writing on the board what excited most students? I used to think anybody could be a teacher. Walk in and put their name on the board and took attendances. As we know it’s more to being a teacher than that. Great teachers must earn the respect of the students and be consistent, although each child is different. Great teachers must be able to attend to students needs in various ways and always be prepared. You can go to 4teachingjobs.net for more info on a job in Sept, 09.

Here are three major terms when dealing with ebd students.

1. Academic Progress: students progress in core academics.

2. Social Competence: dealing with social and behaviors that enable a child to meet environmental needs.

3. Educational Progress: Reflects the involvement of a child in school classes.

These teachers have a lot of strength and must have the ability to follow teacher’s plans, directions, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.

We really need to vote for increases in teachers salaries and vote for the closure of these casinos. Money for educators not for a sports satdium. You’re abssolutely right, it takes a special kind of superhuman to be a teacher. I solute you all.
