Education and Religion
How much of religion is there in School curricula?
Rapid changes in Society and technological advancement in certain modern societies have automatically left religion in the backyard of day to day activities both at School and home. In some of the so called christian homes hardly anything called prayer or bible reading is ever heard of. For that matter children have forgotten even the basics of their religious beliefs.Needless to say that Parents have hardly time even talk of other material needs of their children. And the children on the other hand in most modern societies seems to spend no time at all with their Parents leave alone their faith and religious practices. There is also the other situation where Parents have lost touch of their early childhood education on the religion, that they are unable to impart any useful knowledge to their children. This is true in many modern families where religion is not so important a issue of interest to families. In the case of some of practising christians specially Roman Catholics there is the usual habit of attending a church service on Sundays. But it is now discovered that many of the children who go with their Parents for these sundays services have no idea of the rituals that are performed by the Priests nor do they understand why it has to so evry once a week.
