ESL English Games for Kids
English For Kids.
When Teaching English As A Foreign Language, English Games are a very real tool that any ESL Teacher can employ to make his or her lessons run smoothly, and create more interest for the language learners themselves. English For Kids through games and activities will actively involve the students in learning, and help them to speak as well as read and write the English language. The next activity is called basketball and here’s how you play it.
Procedure: A trashcan or box is put up near the blackboard. The students are then divided into two teams. One of the students is given a ball or a rolled up piece of paper. The student is then asked a question in English. If he or she answers the question correctly they get a chance to throw the ball into the basket. If the ball or piece of paper goes into the basket the student gets 2 points. If the student hits the basket and the ball doesn’t go in they only receive one point. The team that acquire the most points are the winners.
Level: Younger students upwards.
Duration: 15 minutes to 30 minutes.
