This article illustrates that swear words have been around a lot longer than one might think. To show that even the Immortal Bard was using them in his greatest works only underscores how integral they are in “civilization”. Rather than bemoaning the fact that someone has taken the time to intelligently research and document the history of them, we should praise the fact that there are still people alive who can effectively communicate without using them.

The usage of swear words is little more than a crutch which showcases a persons lack of intelligence.

first off, words are words, so what’s the point of having a word if your not going to use it? does it make sense if i am eating oreos, and i have a glass of milk, NOT to drink the f***ing milk!?! cuss words are needed because they signify(i think that’s the right word but it looks wrong) a level of expression that other words just don’t give. also, this article is really helping me on my high school term paper, so if you don’t like it, why are you reading it?
