Finals: More Stressful to Study for Than to Take
Do you find yourself completely stressed right before finals? You are probably studying way too hard. This guide will teach you how to study efficiently and correctly.
The week before finals is ofter spent fretting and worrying about whether or not you know enough to pass your finals. Generally, this sort of stress is completely unneeded.
First of all, you need to study smarter, not harder. Ask your teachers questions about your finals and figure out how hard each one will be. For instance, ask your math teacher how many problems will be on the test, you will ofter be surprised at how low that number is.
For science, ask what your teacher recommends you should memorize in order to do good on the test. Obviously, your should memorize those things as your first priority.
Ask your English teacher the exact format of their test as they are ofter unique. Usually there isn’t much you can do to study for English except to be familiar with broad concepts.
Studying for history should be similar to studying for science because there is usually a set list of things you should memorize.
Don’t think of foreign language as studying, instead break out you lists of vocab and verb conjugations and use them with random people. This can be hilarious because many people will be clueless as to what you are saying.
When it comes time to take the final, you will usually find that it was way easier than you expected. Some finals will make you frustrated because you wasted so much time studying for them when you didn’t need to.
More tips for success:
Rest is key, if you are awake and alert, fact recollection is way easier, and your pencil will fly faster across the paper. You will also be much more willing to work out problems and double check your answers.
Eat breakfast. No one can take tests on an empty stomach.
Get a drink and relieve yourself before taking the test. The test needs to be your main focus and you cannot afford distractions.

Rest is the most important, so make sure you get your sleep, and then it’s so much easier.
