Free Education: A Fantasy That Should be Real
Why I believe education should be free, all the way past post-secondary.
“I’m sorry my child, we just don’t have the money for you to go to this fancy university. We need you to get a job to help support the family.” You may or may not have heard this phrase, but without giving specific examples, I’d like to comment and point out that to pay for education is to rid the world of potentially smart people. In other words it seems that higher education is only for those who can afford to go to education. Why isn’t education free? Why is it that although taxpayers already pay a certain amount for education, the government never seems to use those funds for school? Without giving the proper education to those who are less fortunate than us, it is like one’s parents not giving food to their children. This is simple horrendous. Still, I do not wish for you to so easily create remarks in your head that I am right or wrong on this matter. In my opinion, Education should be a right not a privilege.
If all education became free, it would be like promoting a redistribution of wealth. Making education free is at no actual or major cost to the government as taxpayers already pay for some education. Therefore, why is it that the government does not seem to see that somewhere among the many children that do not get education, one of them could be our next Albert Einstein? Not just an inventor perhaps but even just a doctor, just more people to spread goodwill. I really get furious at the thought that some people could argue that money is a perquisite for post-secondary schools. Perquisites need to be based on what education you have gotten before, it is an illogical system for sorting the learners from the slackers. Putting a cost on education is simply slowing down the technologic advancements of the world.

Free education meaning teachers should work for free?
Or free meaning taxing successful people more to pay for it?
If an education is of value, why should it be given away for free?

Free education as in the students should get a chance
to work for free, teachers should continue getting paid.
Most things in life that are of value should be free.
