Homework: Good or Bad?

Homework is the one thing a child dreads. But is it actually helping them academically? The three elements to a successful, hard working student that doesn’t get distracted are:

1. Exercise
2. Food / Water
3. Sleep

I remember when I was naught but a boy, I would want to go swimming in the creek, or walk my restless dog, but the malevolence of homework would thwart the departure of my vicinity.

Children do need a superior routine, for illustration, my offspring need to awaken at 6.30 am and carry out their habitual practice; otherwise we arrive at school too early or too late. Nevertheless, by my outlook school is enough of a routine. Bells, classes, detentions, periods, it is all a huge repetitive schedule. Children should not have to be forced to bring their schedule home. For the two hours of daylight they have to themselves, they should be out exercising.

1. Exercise releases endorphins, making a content learner, who sleeps without difficulty and isn’t fidgety and uncomfortable in class
2. Grub and water endow with energy. A youngster who is in agony from dehydration or under nourishment will scarcely have a hope in an examination. If a kid is so busy studying prior to school in the crack of dawn, he or she will repeatedly fail to remember mealtime. An additional exemplar of this is where a young person completes their fragmentary assignments all lunch break and forgets about lunch. ALL due to homework.
3. Slumber. This one kind of goes devoid of aphorism. If a child falls sound asleep during an assessment, it is dubious that the apprentice will be proficient enough to conclude the test sleeping! All due to homework, Patricia would linger all night in her room, finishing homework, and just cant…keep…her…eyes…ope…snore!!

Homework is causing more trouble than it solves, and is exactly why it should be banned. What’s your opinion? Thanks.
