How a Writer Can Avoid Plagiarism and Grammar Mistakes!

What do you do to avoid plagiarism? Plagiarism is the theft of someone else’s work in whole or in part. I use a site online to check my own work, and that of someone else’s. There is something sinister about plagiarism, and it’s hard to define sometimes.

Some words just flow naturally, so I use a site called Grammarly to check my work. It is helpful to catch mistakes in grammar, spelling, and plagiarism. I always read through my work, and I run it through the editor. There is nothing worse than when you read your article after it has been published, and you see a spelling error. I tend to write late at night, and sometimes, I make awful mistakes. That is where a good spell checker comes in to play. Grammarly costs a little money, and for many writers, money is tight, but if you seriously care about your craft of writing, it might be worth your investment.

As for plagiarism, it has always been a problem. I have had my work plagiarized, and I can say that I have never stolen someone else’s hard work. There again, Grammarly has a citation audit that tells you if your words are too similar to another article.
