How Can I Teach Abc to a Slow Learner?

I’m not specialized with slow learner, they need a teacher that can help them fast…I want to help but just don’t know how?

I met two girls who are very special indeed. The first time I saw them was during music class and both of them had a very wide smile and bright eyes that you can never fail to notice. I never thought behind those smile, they are two slow learners.

When I enter their class, I can see that their friends outcast them because of their inability to catch up with them. At the age of nine and eight, both of these girls have no clue what is ABC. I tried to reach them out but none of my efforts work, this also double my work and worst divides my attention from the others. Language barrier is also one of the factors why I can’t fully understand them. They converse in their mother tongue and I have no clue since I come from a different state and we use different dialect.

I just want them to learn at least the alphabets but when you try so many time to teach a simple letter ‘A’ and it turn out to be a ‘C’ or an ‘I’ for them, you can’t help but feel frustrated. I’m not giving up on them, but may be it is my methods that are not the right. I still think they need specialized teachers that know what the best way to help them out is. They will be having their test in February and i wonder how are they going to pass their without knowing how to read and write?

It’s an impossible situation to be in. I hope you come up with a solution. Good luck.

Everyone learns at their own pace, and I’ve found it easiest to associate fun things and things your child is interested in with what you are trying to teach them. If you peak their interest, they are more likely to retain the information faster. In this article, I will go through different methods of teaching your child so they can be on their way to a brighter future, faster.
