How Can Nepali Students Get Benefitted?

It is a distant dream for the majority of the poor students from Nepal…

It’s a pity that even in the 21st century, most of the Nepali students in Nepal are almost alienated from the rest of the world. The Internet boom has not even touched 10% of the poor students from this beautiful country, Nepal.

Those students who have computers and Internet connections, of course the slow connections, do want to be part of the on going activities but unfortunately they don’t have any method to pay even a single dollar as a monthly or yearly fee to any of the valuable and educational websites. When I started writing, I was in a dilemma how to start writing on various sites, not all give you free access like WWW.Triond.com. I started writing reviews, and one day an unknown friend sponsored me and made me the full member of a very prestigious site for writers. He paid my yearly fee, thus helping me out of the almost impossible situation. It is not as though students can’t afford to pay, the problem is that the Nepali Banks don’t allow us to get such cards through which we could spend a few dollars.

It is the high time some people decided to introduce dollar cards for $ !0 or $ 20 so that Nepali students could buy those cards from shops and be part of the Internet community. At present they only get access to social sites through free email service providers like yahoo, g mail, hot mail, etc.

I believe that given a chance like this, most of the Nepali students would get engaged in some serious learning processes provided by many websites all over the world. They do have Nepali currency but the problem is that they are demanded dollars when it comes to purchasing even a book from any website.

It is my plea to all those people who are directly or indirectly responsible for providing such banking card facilities to kindly consider this issue seriously and help millions of students from all over the world to take part in the activities which at present they are deprived of.
