How Public Schools Have Changed

Wow, i remember just a few years ago when school lunches were $1.20 and “The Dress Code” was the least of the concern. Now schools are getting more strict with everything from education to what you wear. Even the gas prices are affecting schools. In the county were I live the Board of Education is trying to bring school down to only 4 days a week due to gas prices. And over population isnt helping. My bus 2 years ago was nearly empty with only about 10 kids riding it, now on the other hand we are having to sit almost 3 to a seat. For what was an organized school system for 30 years has been drastically changed recently. Schools are having to be more careful with everything they do. Every science project you have to wear googles, you cant get lunch if you owe money etc. If you went back in time and brought a teenager from the 80s and stuck them into today’s schools they would be expelled in a day.
