Every child loves to play and there is definitely no exception to it. Do you play “Simon says” with your child? If yes, you can use this method to teach spellings. Rather saying count, spell the word and see whether your child is able to understand it. Do this activity for every spelling that you wish to teach your child. Another way is asking your child to spell a word.

If you have more than one kid, you can say “whoever spells a particular word correctly will get a gift.” This will motivate the child to say the spelling right.

Tracing the words is another way to teach spellings. Start with alphabets. Write a big “A” in a board or paper. Ask the child to trace the letter.
