I Was Fired of My Job Because I Am a Homosexual
This article discusses gender discrimination.
Five months ago, I went to one of the near cities to apply for the job. At first, I knew what necessary preparation to do to get the interview and then get the job so I practice speaking and research about my skills. I learn from my college days all I need to do in job hunting. This time I put it into practice. I go for job-hunting.
I first submitted my application to a university. I forwarded my application to the dean, but there was no feedback about what happened. I did follow-ups and thought that maybe my application is being filed up with many applications. Then I called the secretary. It was a good thing that I received a response. At least I knew what happened to my application. On the other hand, I was not hired. The reason according to the secretary is simple – there is no job vacancy.
I moved to the next institution. I was a college. I had my teaching demo, and I passed the teaching presentation. However, before the end of my part, someone sat at the back stood and said, “You’re actually good, but you are a gay. We do not hire gay teachers.” That moment, I was a little bit humiliated, but I maintained my poise. I stared at him, the person who discriminated me. Momentarily, while the man was talking, I found myself in the doorstep carrying my teaching materials. I was not able to look back what happened. Then I heard laughter inside the room. That was quiet tragic, wasn’t it?
The next morning, I woke up late. I did not mention everything to my parents what happened to my job-hunting. I definitely am sure they would be upset for me because I was not able to look for the job. The following morning, I went to the city again. I looked for a beauty parlor, and I applied for the job. I was hired, but I was definitely overqualified. I finished my bachelor’s degree and my master’s degree, but I couldn’t find a job for me.
Now I don’t think if I belong to teaching or I don’t know if I have the perseverance to find a job. I might be frustrated, for I was not hired for the job because I am a homosexual.

Perhaps you didn’t get the job because of your poor language skills? I’m guessing you got your master’s degree online?
