Re-Statement of the Problem

             This study assessed the implementation of the KALAHI Program in the nineteen selected barangays of Central, Eastern and Western Pangasinan. These are Barangay Patacbo (Basista), Barangay Nibaliw Norte (Bautista) and Barangays Lebueg, Anis Caaringayan and Casanesteban (Laoac). In the Eastern part of Pangasinan  are Barangay Sta. Maria (San Nicolas), Barangay Mabini (Balungao) and Barangays Canareem, San Maximo and Cacandongan (Natividad).  From Western Pangasinan are Barangays Cacayasen, Sapa Grande, San Pascual and San Vicente (Burgos) and Barangays San Jose, Magsaysay, Bolo and Bongalon (Labrador).

The Specific problems focused on the socio-demographic profile of the respondents, extent of attainment of objectives of the poverty reduction program, the problems encountered in the implementation of the program and the solutions to the problems encountered.

Methodology

The descriptive research design was used in this study. This method was the most preferred research design because the main purpose of this study was to analyze the attainment of the objectives of the KALAHI Program and the extent of benefits derived as assessed by the beneficiaries and the implementers.
