Influenced by Seniors
How the senior class has influenced my school.
With all the seniors leaving in May people have pondered the question, what are we going to do? When I say people I mean coaches, teammates, classmates, young friends, teachers, and even administration. The Class of 2007 has helped shape the high school experience and what it really means to be a Cienega High School senior. Being a Bobcat is all about hard work and dedication to succeed and I believe that the seniors have definitely helped set those standards for the seniors to come.
This year the majority of the Varsity sports were mostly made up of seniors. When all these seniors leave will team be able to cope and recover before the new season? In my opinion I think everyone will be able to recover. Sure, all the sports had really great and unforgettable seasons and were going to miss them, but mistakes were made and that’s where improvements will be made by fellow teammates. There is always room for improvements. With the end of the year here friends have to say good-bye to each other. This is a sad time that nobody is ever prepared to do. Seniors have shown us how to be strong and keep friendships alive. They have managed to keep friendships within they’re grade alive and strong. Seniors have also shaped relationships with underclassmen. They don’t act as if they run the whole place. They are there when you need them for advise on which teachers to take for the years to come or anything else you may need. With these friendships they build specific characters within the underclassmen to insure that Cienega is left in good hands.
Lucky for the teachers and administration, seniors are looking out for you. Yeah, they act as if they don’t like teachers and admin and they can’t wait to leave, but the reality is that they do care and they appreciate everything that was done for them because honestly with out all the adults on campus’ help they may not be where they are today.
Personally I don’t talk to many seniors, but I do know a selected few and from what I know it will be hard to see them go. They have taught me so much and I will forever keep them in my heart and mind. I know everyone else will too.
