The learners, on the other hand, believe they can learn newer, better ways of what they have been doing, even if they suffer temporary setbacks on their way to learning new skills.
Your creation will be the result of your vision of what you want to bring about. The gap between your vision and the current reality with respect to what you want to create, results in what Fritz calls `structural tension’ which gets resolved when your vision becomes reality. There is sometimes a temptation to reduce the tension in the shortest possible time by setting for a goal that will not be to your liking or of a quality below what you may have been able to otherwise achieve. It is advisable to postpone the resolution of the tension strategically until you craft a goal of the standard and quality you are capable and proud of achieving.
Learners and performers- Performers believe that they have reached the height of their capabilities and try to perform always to the beast of their assumed abilities. The learners, on the other hand, believe they can learn newer, better ways of what they have been doing, even if they suffer temporary setbacks on their way to learning new skills. The learning approach is the more fruitful in generating quality results.
Choice and obligation- What you create and how is a matter of your choice. You can evade responsibility by believing that you are fulfilling an obligation, but in doing so you may opt for second best actions towards your goal which you attribute to your obligation. The only obligation you have is to exercise your choices honestly.
