Kindergartners : Little Angels or Little Devils?

Today, I got a kindergartener as my buddy. First, I thought it would be very fun and enjoyable to hang out and tlak with my buddy. I was partly wrong. In the beginning, my buddy hated me. He hated me so much, that he said (and I quote), “I’m first going to cut your hair off”. Then “I’m going to cut you up into loads of little pieces”, and finally “I’m going to kill you.” By the time that last comment was said, I had a feeling I wasn’t going to live the rest of the school year.
After a while, he just continued with his project. But then something amazing happened. He saiid something funny (and it wasn’t about me) and I laughed with him. It became really funny, him just doing funny acts. I felt that we actually transformed from enemies, to friends.
What all this means is that you shouldn’t automatically mark a little kid with a personality, like mean, or plain evil. Keep going with it, and don’t stop trying to find out who the little kid really is.
So the answer is, YES.
