Learning Music Stimulates the Mind and More

I am a musician and i have lots of other friends that also enjoy playing music. I find that playing music can help you in the classroom and with personal relationships. I started playing guitar a little more than three years ago. You could say I’m a good guitar player. Not only is it a proven fact that learning a instrument and help you be a better student but it also an lead to better relationships then before. I find myself making more friends than before just because when share a common interest, that interest is of course is playing an instrument. I’ve made several new friends by playing in groups or music coming up in a conversation. People love to talk about their hobbies and comparing themselves to others in the hopes that you might be better than them or maybe just to have fun and play for a while. You find someone that is better at the instrument you play and you might find yourself learning more about playing because he or she might help you in learning tips and tricks. I also found in high school, the funniest and most likable people were the band members.

People always say band people are the geekiest people around and if you be friends with them people won’t like you as much. This assumption is a myth and should not be considered when meeting these people. Yeah, some of them are really geeky looking, but if you look past their looks, you might find a best friend. Music can be challanging and fun at the same time, and if you look at it, there isn’t many disadvantages to playing an instrument. Except for maybe it might cost money and can be time consuming, but the advantages outwiegh the disadvantages. The main point is learn to play an instrument. Stop pretending by playing music games on your game systems and take that time you spend playing them and turn it in to something productive. if you get good, you can impress people. music may not come to people as naturally as some, but it really is somehting that should be learned and appreciated.
