Massachusetts Institute of Technology, one of the most prestigious universities in the United States, reported that in 2012 will begin offering certificates to students who take classes for free on the Internet.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology, one of the most prestigious universities in the United States, reported that in 2012 will begin offering certificates to students who take classes for free on the Internet.

New initiatives follow in the footsteps of Stanford University, Harvard and MIT same institution that offers several classes of them over the network to users around the world.

However, this is the first time to pass this course, homework and exams are offered to solve the surfers the possibility of a certificate from the university.

MITX is a program designed by the open structure of universities offering free online education. According to the university statement, the certification will be issued by the MITX to avoid confusion.
