Pennsylvania, School Voucher and The State House

Here I am going to give you the atest news on what is happening on school vouchers in PA.

In the state of Pennsylvania there is a debate about whether those in poor performing schools. Should they stay in their school or get a voucher from the government to go to a private or Parochial school. This practice is called school vochers, something PA Gov Corbett is strongly supporting.

Governor Corbett said in his campaigning that he wants to help students in poor performing schools from quitting and want teachers to be responsible for helping their students get better grades.

There are opponents of the bill who think that won’t help poor performing schools help the kids whether or not there are vouchers. And many point out that public schools shouldn’t have to pay for a private school or prochial school.

To make it sound better, it is called ’school choices’. Even with that name, the house is not to thrilled withthe bill and can’t promise they’ll have a bill for Gov. Corgett to sign.

In the Senate it passed with a narrow margin of 27-22 with a artisan vote.

Now we have to wait to see if the bill gets through the House and if it does, is Gov Corgett going to sign the bill.
