Processes Involved in College Admission

There are many processes involved in case of college admission. It largely depends on the percentage score of candidate, the reputation of college and the method of selection. After the results are out from high school level, each candidate seeks for the admission in the prescribed way given by the college.

            Mainly there are two ways to get a college admission. Most of the times, the admission is based on the merit list. It is prepared in the descending order of percentages received in the college. The merit list is prepared and depending on the percentage of student, there are high chances for the candidate to get an admission in the college.

            This type of method is used in case of Junior Colleges, as it has the criteria of percentage involved in it. For more higher education, this process is not adopted as number of student intake increases at that time. The people at the college admission committee just admit student till the seats are full, because anyhow they have to fill up the seats in the college.

            Another effective method for admissions is the Centralized process, which is carried out at a specific place, and forms are sent to that place. Students fill up the forms, online if available, and send the documents along with the form. The forms are selected on the basis of the preferences made.

            These preferences are very important as they require a keen observation of the colleges and a good knowledge of putting them. The preferences should be given depending upon the percentage of student and reputation of the college. Most of the times, students give the option of the college, but in the end, they don’t get the college. The main reason for this is the lack of study of preferences. If preferences are given properly, the college admission is just easy.

            These two methods of are very useful, as far as the college admission is concerned. The adoption of method depends mainly on the type of education and reputation of college.

            So as a conclusion, the college admission should be done on the basis of percentage of the candidate and method of selection mostly.
