Pronunciation Trouble

The manager of a company asked the candidate of his background. He stated that he had worked at a multinational before he entered Yale.

The manager was terribly impressed. He appointed the candidate as in charge of cash section at the accountant’s department.

A few days later, the manager was on a round of the office. He noticed the new employee stacking up bills and coins. He stopped by and asked, “By the way, what did you say your name was?”

“Yagan Yauri”, he replied.

The official felt it odd. He told the man to write down his name on a sheet of paper. He did that . It read Jagan Jauri.

The manager told the new employee to get out.

“Why, sir? I have done nothing wrong”.

“Except being a YALE, which I now know for JAIL”.

“So I lose the YOB, for being at Yale”, the man walked off grumbling to himself.
