- If you consider yourself a writer, then I am pretty sure you are also a reader. And if you think you’re a good writer, then you are a good reader and you read a lot. I cannot imagine somebody writing without using some form of reading. I’m not saying that’s the only tool you used for writing but a lot of information you write and wrote came from reading. So reading is a very important tool for writing. What does reading do to our writing? I have five answers to that question, you may have your own answers, and that’s good but here are some of what I thought to be what reading can do to my writing. 1) Good source of information. If you read books of information then you have all the sources that you need and you can write anything you want based from your reading. 2) Good source of knowledge. Not only will you have information at hand, you also have the knowledge. And as the saying goes “Knowledge is power”. When you have enough knowledge about a certain topic, you develop a sense of self-confidence and belief in yourself. Don’t you agree? 3) Reading gives you added education to yourself and to others. Learning from reading and sharing it to others is a good sign of a good writer or shall I say an educated writer. 4) Reading not only give you information, knowledge and education but more than that it gives you connection to other people. Social media networking is based from connecting to others and we can only connect to others if we know how to write to others. Reading is a very helpful tool in social media network. 5) A well-read person is usually doing well in any online marketing or internet business. It is a plus for someone who reads and writes. So there you have it. Let’s continue our unending passion for writing and choose to write good quality articles. Let’s do more reading and reading good materials for writing.
