Reality Check: Education Beyond Limits
How do intellectually inclined individuals apply education in the modern age? An informative article on education being a great strength towards human decadence.
Education is an impregnable foundation that a person could have. It does not simply mean to learn the things which people are not aware of. In its deeper sense, its main function is to shape individuals and teach people how to act or observe the norms and decorum of being humans which today is now being overlooked by many. It is sad to say that violating such innate rules is evidently seen at present. For instance, we are now in the globalization era where computers are widespread.
In Japan and Philippines or even around the globe, this situation yields to such absurdities like, people tend to be so engrossed with these machines to the extent that they already treat them as their masters which should not be the case. We are humans, the stewards of our Creator; hence, we should be the masters, not as followers and slaves of man- made things. Another example is the nature of education in Thailand where prostitution is legal. Children aging from10 -12 are being sent to institutions to learn sex, that is, Thailand is a popular destination for sex tourism.
On the other hand, education delineates the improper use and application of knowledge because of perception and attitude differentials of people. Moreover, educating people is not an easy task. It requires dedication, commitment and compassion. It is not a one-sitting duty that runs along a continuum that is perfected by genuine kindness, by careful watching, by strict warning, by effective precepts, by heart- warming praises and most importantly by setting as an epitome of education that people should imitate because people will not believe anyone who does not practice what he/ she preaches. Still, education remains multifaceted and stands amidst a number of considerations in order for it to achieve its ultimate goal.

sad fact but this scenario is what we see in reality nowadays. we are actually having a large number of uneducated youth that needed guidance and proper education, may there be advocates on pursuing great actions to properly educate the people especially the youth.

The original law in Pennsylvania that created the public school system was called “the old deluder satan act’. In paraphrase it said “to give our children an education, so they may be able to read the scriptures and evade the wiles of the old deluder satan.”
BTW, I was taught that in Shippensburg State College, now Shippensburg University, a state run college in the fall of 1961 when I was a freshman in the course the history of education.
They neither teach that or follow that. Although I would like to see people read the bible, I would be happy if the public schools just taught kids to READ….
