Schools Need to Step Up The Discipline

Every parent thinks that when they send their child off to school in the morning that their child will be safe when in fact a lot of parents might be putting their sons or daughters in danger instead.

Walk into a school and you will see students walking to their classes, teachers getting ready to start class, and the janitors getting ready to start another hustling bustling day of cleaning up after students. But what you wont see is the number of fights the students will break out into, the screaming that goes back and forth between one group of students towards another. The bullying that takes place from day to day causing many students to resort to hazardous consequences like suicide, jail, or worse.

School’s these days seem to lack one very important thing, discipline. Especially in inner city schools. Every day fights break out either during school, after school, or even in the middle of class. Whats worse is the teachers don’t step in and break it up. Now days some kids can’t even go to school without the worry of if their gonna get beat up today or not. In some school’s you can’t even look another student in the face without getting threatened to get your butt beat. So what is with this? Why don’t the teachers, the principles, or any other adult for that matter step in and stop it before it even starts? It’s because they do not want to pull to much close attention to themselves. They do not want people viewing their schools as a dangerous place. Many parents who report their child being bullied at school to the school officials have often seen no results. They have not seen any actions being taken against the people who were doing the bullying.

A lot of children and teenagers are afraid to go to school each day because of being bullied and getting beat up. I am on of those kids. Every day I get up and am afraid to go to school. Afraid of what the kids will do. Afraid to look directly into any of the other students eyes for fear that I will get beat up. I have seen students get beat up just for sitting next to someone when it was not their fault. When that was their assigned seat.

Bullies is the 3rd leading cause of suicide in the U.S.A. Many parents of daughters and son’s who have committed suicide do to bullying have tried to raise awareness in school’s that they need stricter regulations but so far only a few handful of schools in different states have put in the no bullying regulation, but so far even that has not stopped teens from bullying in school.

If you think your daughter or son is being bullied and may be suicidal here are some of the signs to look for.

  • Your son or daughter does not want to go to school at all and is terrified of going to school.
  • Your son or daughter comes home from school crying or is mad.
  • Your son or daughter locks them selves in their room and won’t come out and talk to you about whats wrong.
  • Your find messages, letters, or notes in your house saying goodbye or just anything that looks suicidal.
  • You find cuts or bruises on your son or daughter and they try hiding them.
