Self-education Techniques

Self-education is popular again for many. Here are some self-education guidelines.

Many people who have an interest in learning are not always interested in having teachers–they want to be their own teachers.

Sometimes they need to learn topics where there are no teachers. Sometimes you might witness a problem and there are no experts at all, and so you have to do problem-solving where there are no experts, and/or people claiming they don’t understand anything.

Then you have to educate yourself on that topic.

Sometimes you educate yourself on topics in which there is information, in which there is already much literature and knowledge.

These are the areas for self-education.

For some topics like science and social-psychology or astronomy sometimes you have researchers who are the originators of an area. Then these people have to teach themselves. They do the original research. This is a form of self-education, and then when they educate themselves, they present their knowledge to others. They must have the general ideas and the so-called “proof.” Sometimes you don’t have the “proof,” just the ideas and another who is better at proving on the material level must come up with the proof.

Some theoretical scientists like an Einstein for example have the theoretical formulas, then the practical scientists or the material scientists then must come up with the material proof to prove the formula to the material level and to the people who can not understand the theoretical proof, or need the material proof.

This is a type of self-education and many originators have this type of self-learning. They are the inventors, the creative people, the scientists, the musicians, the originators.

Then you have another type of self-learning where people learn from these originators. The literature is already there. They get the books on the topics written by these experts and they learn. Sometimes when they learn a topic, then they can add their own original ideas and then they themselves can become originators.

Like people who learn how to cook, learn all the techniques and then they invent their original recipes.

Musicians who learn the techniques of music, then they write their original compositions.

People who learn how to write and then they write their original works, including become experts and originators on various topics.

If you have an original idea or theory for example, then you must self-educate. You must use the methods of your discipline to find out if that idea or invention works. You can work on the theoretical level, and then you must test the idea on the material level. Many companies have many original ideas and then must find out if those ideas work in the market place. Some great ideas don’t work in the market place, or work only if another person presents the idea. Sometimes the idea is a great idea, but only can be presented by the right person. Sometimes ideas are rejected not because of the idea but because of the person presenting the idea. Sometimes it’s the idea. Companies must test the ideas and then also find the right person to present the idea. Or the right person to market a product.
