Similarities Between Palestinian Textbooks and Anti-American Propaganda
Palestinian textbooks and anti-American leftist loons both slander America and Israel.
Palestinian textbooks are like radical leftist propaganda, but with a touch of Nazism, more anti-Semitism and Islamism. Palestinian textbooks are merely a mix of Islamist and leftist propaganda. One Palestinian textbook states that:
The criterion that defines America’s foreign policy is its own strategic
interests. Therefore, its policy towards the world didn’t change during the
time of one American president or another, as is clearly apparent in
Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran and more.
The theme of America being an imperialist empire is also the views of leftist loons like Wiliam Blum, Noam Chomsky, John Pilger, Norman Finkelstein and Howard Zinn. Their careers is essentially to bash this nation [America].
The Iraqi Insurgents
“Fighting against American and British soldiers in Iraq is called ‘brave resistance to liberate Iraq’ against ‘occupation,’” states the study of what Palestinian textbooks teach by the Palestinian Media Watch [PMW], which monitors the hateful material in Arab and Palestinian media, as well as in Palestinian textbooks.
William Blum, the notorious anti-American leftist kook, compares the insurgents favorably to the anti-Nazi resistance. To William Blum, those who fight the American-led liberators in Iraq are “so reminiscent of the Second World War European resistance fighters rebelling against their Nazi occupiers.”
To me, this is a similarity. Both support the Iraqi insurgents, who kill our heroic men and women in Iraq [that is US soldiers and other heroic soldiers who fight in the US-led coalition in Iraq], who kill innocent Iraqi civilians and who seek to spread their own form of tyranny in Iraq.
America, Human Rights and Colonialism
“The current relationship with the West is described as a ‘Clash of Civilizations
between the West, led by the United States, and the Islamic-Arab world.
Islam promotes Human Rights , the US and the
West, ‘the colonialist states, are taking advantage of it’, ‘for interfering in the matters
of other states, as is happening in Afghanistan, Iraq, Darfur…’ America and
Russia are guilty of ‘violations of international humanitarian law in Iraq and Afghanistan
and …in Chechnya,” states the same PMW report on what Palestinian textbooks say. The anti-American left also views America as an “empire” and as “imperialist.” The anti-American left compares America unfavorably to the US’s totalitarian enemies unless the anti-American left supports America’s totalitarian enemies. The charges by Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky and William Blum of America being a colonialist empire is prominant in their works. Here, in nine minutes, you get the basic view of Howard Zinn’s charge of America as an imperialist nation. To the anti-American left, human rights and democracy are used as excuses for America to impose its so-called imperialist empire.
