Simple Point Scoring System Has a Flaw in Education

It was revealed in a research that there are too many students who consistently score A level in subjects such as English and Humanities. Where as this is not the case with maths and sciences. Students find it hard to score better in those latter subjects. Many students consistently fail in maths and sciences.
When there are options to select subjects in a University educational system students prefer these soft options like English and Humanities against maths and sciences. The research evidently revealed that students who have same abilities are consistent on getting good scores in English, Sociology etc. The failure rate for these subjects is very low for six years.
The point scoring system adopted by many Universities gives the same credit or weight age for all the subjects. Thus students select English and other soft options for getting a good score. That is the reason why there needs to be a change in the point scoring by giving more credit to maths and sciences. That will motivate students to learn them with their best.
