Student Surpasses The Teacher
The greatest compliment a teacher can ever have is to have the student surpassing his/her achievement. What’s more if the achievement that is world class. Here are a few such cases.
Introduction
Sometimes our lives becomes an inspriration to someone and we become his or her teacher without even meeting them. Other times, the student will seek you out. I hope this story will inspire you.
Steve Jobs and Edwin Land

Edwin H Land who was the co founder of Polaroid was the inspiration to Steve Jobs who recently passed. Steve Jobs idolized Edwin Land and in many ways the life of Steve Jobs mirrored the life of Edwin Land. Both dropped out of college dropouts. Both of them founded multi billion dollar companies. However, Steve managed to return to save and make the company he founded better while Edwin did not.
Warren Buffett and Benjamin Graham
Warren Buffett seeked out Benjamin Graham and became his student and continued to work under him in the early years. Warren learned the theory of Value Investing but further refined it. Both have been very successful in the stock market but Warren has surpassed the success of his mentor and teacher.

Bill Gates and Dr Henry Edward Roberts
Dr Henry Edward Roberts inspired Bill Gates to start Microsoft. Henry started the built it yourself kit that was affordable to the masses. Bill Gates took it one step further by having it fully assembled.
Conclusion
In all the above examples, the students were all world class successes and the teachers were lesser known. So could you be the one inspiring the next World Giant?
