Teach English as a Second Language

What is the best way to teach English as a second language. 

This is my golden rule:

We must always try to entertain. A bored student fails to pay attention and do not assimilate the information. Result? Not learn practically nothing and what you learn, you learn it out of obligation, with some distaste to learn English as a second language.

But entertaining is not always easy because there are real issues aggregates in teach. How to entertain while teaching English as a second language, for example, explaining the conditional?or “irregular verbs? forms, or passive?

Give you some ideas: (I mean always in a company or individual classes. Not English classes at school or college, but perhaps some of these suggestions can be adapted to this area).

1) Put your soul in what is being taught. It tries to convey that passion to motivate pupils while English as a second language. How is passion? I think you can only do those who enjoy teaching. I recommend you read the rules.

2) Use with materials for English activities to English as a second language: games, audio, exercises, presentations, dialogues, etc. I always go with a portfolio full of material and I feel like a magician with his hat.

3) A good sense of humor helps a lot to English as a second language. This year I teach in a business where we laugh almost every day. What are we laughing? Anything, I always try to walk a joke because I think saying that laughter is good therapy, people return to work more relaxed and I have more energy to continue.

4) When dealing with small groups, try to adapt the class to the needs of students. For example, if the teacher senses that some students find it hard to pronounce, must place emphasis on improving their pronunciation through specific activities: listening to audio, repeating phrases, etc.. If detected, however, that the irregular verbs will choke everyone, you should use various kinds of practicing irregular verbs while teaching English as a second language.

5) If we have before us a very large group, we must agree on the topics covered. The professor suggests a list of ten topics for the next three months and students make a paper topics that interest them most. For example, learn 10 irregular verbs, learn the first and second conditional, learn to make presentations. Finally, the teacher selects the five issues voted and only focuses on explaining these issues while teaching English as a second language.
