Teachers- The Unfortunate Economy

As everyone knows, if you are in the midst of going to college, steer away from the teaching profession.

Believe it or not, both students and teachers have the same dream but different at the same time. Now you may think that this is ridiculous and that’s OK but I wanted to inform you of the dreams they have.

Students

Students dream of becoming a teacher working with students of many different ages. They can work with kids from K-2 which is considered Early Childhood Education, 1-6 which would be Elementary Education and then 7-12 which is Adolescent Education. Unfortunately due to the economy, it has put their dreams in a stand-still. My advise to you as an aspiring teacher is to go for what you want and don’t back down. Somewhere, someday a job will become available to you and you will be able to go after it. Perhaps, you could get dual certified with Special Education.

Teachers

Teachers dream of keeping their job. They are amazing at what they do and they offer so much of their time to help create a better education for our children. There is a lot of time and planning that goes into teaching and despite the fact that each and every teacher is different in the way they teach the material, they get their point across the same way any other teacher does.

I wish everyone in the teaching field and any aspiring teachers the best of luck wherever their dreams may take them and that you tackle each and every obstacle with confidence and determination.
