The Importance of Basic Education

In a structural building, laying the foundation always takes the most extensive work and budget.  This is so because the strength of the building lies on its foundation.

The same is true in human development.  Every person is empowered by acquiring necessary knowledge, skills and values.  These three things define the fulfillment of every person’s being, which is why our state imposes the need to acquire primary education.  It has not only become compulsory but has also become the right of every citizen.

Learning basics subjects in Math, Science, History and English will equip one with the capacity to understand his surroundings and thus become a key player in a community.   Needless to say, is also serves as the foundation of all higher degree of learning.

By saying these, we can understand why basic education is important.  It gives life and it supports development.
