The Top Five Colleges in America

This is my opinion on the top five colleges in America.

There are thousands of colleges in America to choose from. With all these what are the top of the class? Here is my opinion.

1. Harvard:

Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Harvard is by far the best college when it comes into a medical degree. It is also at least in the top two when it comes to law and business. One of the first schools in America, Harvard has been running since the 17th century. However, getting into Harvard is quite a difficult task. Only about 1 in 11 applications were accepted into Harvard. The cost of tuition was around 36 to 37 thousand dollars.

2. MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology):

MIT is also located in Cambridge, Massachusetts is said to be the rival of Harvard University. However, MIT is known for different majors then Harvard. MIT is mostly known for it’s famous engineering and computer science departments. Any website will rank MIT number one in both engineering and computer science. The acceptance rate is higher at MIT then most top schools sitting at around 12% of all applications and costs just fewer than 37 thousand dollars to enter.

3. Princeton:

Founded in 1746, Princeton is very well known for its psychology and environmental science departments. Princeton is also famous for its find selection of science departments to go into. The acceptance rate at Princeton is also very low sitting at fewer than 10%. One good thing about Princeton is that it is ranked one the most beautiful schools in the US. The average annual cost is lower then other top schools standing at around 35 thousand dollars.

4. Stanford:

Of all the schools on this list, more people that are famous have attended Stanford then any other school other then Harvard. Among the people, include former president Hebert Hoover, golfer Tiger Woods, and yahoo cofounder Jerry Yang. Stanford is famously known for its Law and business field. The acceptance rate at Stanford is around 10 percent and the average tuition at the school is slightly over 36 thousand dollars.

5. Yale:

Located in New Haven, Connecticut Yale is another friendly rival of Harvard. It is also famous for many of the things Harvard are famous for including the medical and law fields. The average SAT score at Yale University was 750 for both reading and math. Yale University reached an all time law in application acceptance reaching only 7.5 % of all applications. The average cost at Yale was around 35 thousand dollars.
