The Youth of a Nation
A look at what we must do to see that our children will succeed in school, work and in life.
Our youth, the next generation. The ones who are going to have to deal with all of the mistakes we have made. Our country is in need of dire help and that help is not coming anytime soon. There will be no jobs, no money, social security is a joke and these kids are going to have to find student loans in an economy that has no more money to lend. These children are the hope of the future, the ones who will prevail over all of these obstacles and turn our great country around.
We as parents need to take every step to give our kids an advantage in life. Be active in their school, sports, or any clubs that they decide to join. School is the most important part of our children’s life and if we as parents slack our kids pay. We need to show them the value of an education. They need to understand the importance school has on their future.
We definitely need to teach our children the value of a dollar, a lesson we obviously didn’t get. When our kids get older and are ready to go off to college they need a plan for money. We also need to be saving for their education. Right now our economy has no money to lend, so our kids may be working to pay for college. If our kids learn how to spend money like the rest of us then we are all doomed. Can you say The Great Depression?
So let me ask you this. What happens when our children graduate college? There are no jobs out there so these kids are stuck with a degree they can’t use. You don’t want your children having a degree in engineering working in a drive thru do you. We as parents need to push our kids towards certain careers. Like working for the government, law and health care. Listen to what your child wants out of life and work with them to find the careers that thrive in a bad economy.
By doing these simple things we can ensure the future of our children and of our country. We need to do all we can to get our economy back on the right track if not for us then for our kids. Push your child to do well, teach them the right ways to live and show them how to save money instead of spending it. Our kids are the hope of the future and we need to protect them from the mistakes of the past. They deserve more from us, they deserve better.
