· To change your tone, when speaking with your friends – this is effective because it has a good contrast in the play. This is most effective when the play changes scenes from the teacher to the kids talking.
Character flashbacks
This is very effective because it will give us an idea about the emotion of how the character feels in the play. This is very useful when developing our plays, because we have a sense of how the character is going to react to different properties in the play for example,
If he/she had a bad history, maybe he/she will have the angry reaction when someone in the play reacts with him/her
Parachute
We did these excises to show what different links, towards identity we as a grouped had. this is effective because it eases out our ideas about identity, then we input these ideas of identities in to our final performance .
Performance
What my role was in the final performance was to be the bully of the play. I had to bully and take the IPod of the new girl “Jasmine”. I had to use the emotion of anger in this part. I know this because i put myself in the bulls’ shoes and tried to feel how he would feel and project it in to the audience with a clear voice and physical structure. I projected my voice and made it clear that I’m a bully by using an aggressive tone and projecting it by standing in a neutral position. I maintained a clear physical structure by opening out my chest and standing straight this give the image of toughness, a key factor of a “bully”.
Overall I think the performance went well, and we did forward our message but there is improvement that could be made such as,
· We could speak louder -the stage we preformed had an echo thus making the effect of double sounds to our audience.
· We could have used our tone a bit better –some times, in the play we forgot to use a character tone of voice then our normal tone of voice.
On the other hand, there where good point’s of our play,
· We projected clear body movements to the audience
· Everyone was on time with each other
The experience we had at forum theatre felt different because the story line wasn’t in our hand, we couldn’t control what happened.
The feedback we got made us thinking that we had to project our voices and make it clear at the same time.
